GYP brings together a diverse and dynamic team of global youth leaders, seasoned public welfare practitioners, and cross-sector experts from academia, politics, business, and international organizations.
Our core team works across continents to drive programs, partnerships, and youth engagement, supported by a growing network of mentors, volunteers, and youth representatives in over 30 countries.

Board Members

Sherry Xie LL.B. & LL.M., Peking University (School of International Studies); former Fortune 500 financial institution professional, integrated marketing strategist, and committed philanthropist. Author of Ignite Kids’ Intrinsic Motivation and Director of the North American Chinese Family Education Association. In 2021, she co-founded Global Youth Philanthropy (GYP).

Lili Qiu Founder of Beijing Angel Mom Charity Foundation, Blue Sky Rescue, Beijing Peaceland Foundation (holds ECOSOC Special Consultative Status), and Global Youth Philanthropy (GYP); Director of China Siyuan Foundation for Poverty Alleviation; Executive Chair of the China Children’s Critical Illness Relief Alliance; Founder of the China Thalassemia Alliance.

Conor McCutcheon A PhD student at the Center for Applied Social and Economic Research (CASER) at NYU Shanghai and the Department of Sociology at NYU. His research interests include social stratification, educational inequality, and social networks. His work focuses on the impact rapid economic development can have on social structure, particularly elite formation.

Dr. Abraham Joseph is an international expert in Development Policy. He served as Former UN Chief Senior Socio-Economic Advisor and Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Timor-Leste. With a Ph.D. in Economics, he is recognized for his extensive work on governance, peacebuilding, and sustainable development within the UN system and globally.

Mr. Kaoma is a seasoned global strategy and youth development leader. He currently leads Special Initiatives at the Desai Foundation and is an International Strategy Fellow at Schmidt Futures. Previously, he served as Global Director at SDSN and co-founded Amano So, an AI-powered talent platform active across four continents. He is also on the Advisory Board for IUCN's Reverse the Red, focusing on data-driven conservation.
